If you read my December Favourites, you'll know that I've been loving glowy skin and I fell in love with the NARS Highlighting Blush Powder in Albatross I bought in early December.
I totally bought this highlighter on a whim. I've never been into gold highlighters as they often look brash on my cool toned, pale skin however this is different because it's a really subtle, cool toned, gold. It's so beautiful. It creates a gorgeous moonlit glow on the skin and I think it's now my number one highlighter. There is a slight shimmer to this product when it catches the light but it's not glittery. I would only use this product for nights out though as it's probably a bit too much for the daytime.
This highlighter goes perfectly with a subtle bronzed cheek. Paired with The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in Light Matte is my favourite combination. I think I need to do a blog post on this as an updated version of my NARS Laguna and MAC Soft & Gentle combo post!
Obviously the NARS Highlighting Blush is a bit of an expensive purchase at £22.50 so I'm pleased to be able to let you know about a dupe I've found! The MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter in Iridescent Gold from my most recent haul is practically the same product for just £3!
The MUA one does look a lot more glowy in the pan compared with the NARS one but when swatched and used on the face, you can barely notice the difference.
The MUA product is the left swatch and the NARS one is on the right. If I had to be picky, I'd say that the MUA one has a little bit more shimmer, making it a bit more glowy but there really isn't much difference at all. They are both amazing!
Have you tried either of these products?
