Hello March! How are you here already?! I think we are all hoping for some warmer weather now so let's hope it comes our way very soon! Going back to February, there were a lot of new products I've been loving so I'm just going to get on and tell you about them.
I've already blogged about the new L'Oreal Paris Fibrology hair range here but this stuff is amazing! I've been using the shampoo, conditioner and serum and my fine hair honestly feels and looks thicker. It also looks more healthy and less damaged. L'Oreal have really done a great job with this range and I'll certainly be repurchasing these when they run out.
On to the skincare I've been loving, my cleanser of choice has been the REN Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser. I love the delicate rose scent of this and it feels really luxurious when you massage it in to your dry face prior to washing off. This is great at removing makeup from all over the face as it doesn't sting my eye area and it leaves my face feeling clean but not stripped. I actually thought this would be more than £16 since the balm (which I also use) from this range is £23!
Something I picked up on a whim was the L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Radiance Revealing Gentle Exfoliator. I was missing a manual exfoliator from my routine and felt like I needed one so I decided to go for this since I'm loving their micellar water and other things from their Skin Perfection range. This is a fab little exfoliator as it's not really harsh on the skin, it gently exfoliates the skin and doesn't leave my skin dry after use. This smells peachy too so that's a bonus! This is a great bargain at £4.49 when it's full price but they often have this range with a third off so I only paid about £3 for it!
I started off in January with quite a few new moisturisers to use in my routine (see this post!) but when I received a Clinique Bonus Time gift* from Fenwick they were all pushed to one side in favour of the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion +*. This is a lightweight lotion that deeply moisturises dehydrated skin. It soaks into the skin very quickly so there is no greasy finish on the skin. This is just perfect for me and I'm glad I received it as it's doing wonders for me. You can actually purchase the 30ml size I have for £9.50 (link to Boots site) which I think is great for those wanting to try it but don't want to spend a fortune on full size products.
In the Boxing Day sales I picked up a set of mini Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks and I've been getting a lot of use from the Rose Gold shade. These are cream eyeshadows in twist-up stick format and they are so easy to glide on to the eyelids for a quick wash of colour. They don't stay in place all day but you could always use a primer to make them more long lasting. I've just been loving this shade for wearing at work as it's really pretty but not too in your face!
Another eye product I've been loving is the Bourjois Color Edition 24H in Petale de Glace. These are cream to powder eyeshadows that are easy to apply to the eyelid with your finger. Just a few swipes and you have a great eyeshadow look. This colour is another great one for wearing at work and I find these to be really long lasting.
This month I've been using some mascara samples and have found two amazing ones that I would buy in full size. First of all, I've been using the Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara that I received in a Birchbox. This does an amazing job at separating my lashes and making them look really long. It's not massively volumising but that's what makes it great for daytime/work wear. The other sample I've been loving is the Chanel Le Volume de Chanel Mascara. If you want massive lashes, this is the one for you. Its big plastic brush really separates my lashes and gives them a big dose of volume as well as length. It's perfect and I really want to buy it! When I put a photo of this on Instagram, some people mentioned that it smudges under their eyes but I haven't had this problem which is good!
I've been loving NARS products again this month and I'll start with the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. The lightest shade of this, Chantilly, is such a good match for my super pale skin. I've practically been using this all over my face this month. I don't wear foundation on a daily basis but I've been using this to cover up many flaws! I start by buffing this under my eyes to cover my dark circles, then I take it around the bottom of my nose where I get lots of redness, put a bit on the end of my nose where I often have the Rudolph look going on(!), a few dots on my cheeks to balance out more rosiness and finally around my chin where I often get hormonal spots and scars left behind. It does a great job on all of those areas and the coverage is so good! I'll be sad when this runs out but I'll be straight out to replace it with a new one!
My NARS Blush of choice this month has been Deep Throat. This is a gorgeous shimmery peach shade that adds a gorgeous pop of colour and a bit of glow to the cheeks. I'm wearing it in this post if you want to see what it looks like on me. I can see why this is one of the most raved about shades in this blush.
The new Revlon ColorBurst Balms just had to be in my favourites this month as they are fab! My favourite of the Lacquers is the Demure shade, a soft shimmery pink, perfect for day wear. The Lacquers make your lips look very glossy with a nice pop of colour. My favourite of the Mattes is Unapologetic, a beautiful pink toned red shade. The Mattes are very creamy and comfortable to wear. I'm super impressed with the strong pigmentation too! I've got a post here showing all of the Lacquers and Mattes I picked up if you want to see more.
I've also been enjoying using the Tanya Burr Lipgloss in the shade Picnic in the Park. It's a pretty pink shade that is non-sticky and very pigmented, one of the best glosses I've ever tried in fact. I love wearing this during the day too. I don't actually get out at night much! These glosses smell amazing. If you fancy, you can read more about these glosses in this post.
My final favourites are ones that have been helping fight against the effects of the cold weather! I reviewed the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Xerand Hand Repair Cream here but in short, it's a lightweight, non-greasy hand cream that smells like freshly washed laundry and makes my hands lovely and soft! Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid has been putting some much needed hydration in to my lips and it's great for carrying around in your bag to top up with during the day. It's a really nourishing glossy balm that makes your lips feel instantly smooth and its lemony scent is delicious. It looks really sparkly in the tube but you don't notice this much on the lips.
I've loved discovering lots of new favourites this month. Have you been loving any of these products?
Let me know your February Favourites, I'd love to hear about them :)
