My hands have been so dry lately. It's probably due to the cold weather and I haven't been wearing gloves! I wanted a deeply moisturising product to repair my hands so when I spotted the Lipikar Xerand Hand Repair Cream for severely dry skin I thought this was just what I needed.
This is a paraben-free formula which I don't actively seek out but I'm glad when I see that on my packaging as I'd rather be putting fewer nasty chemicals on my skin if possible!
The first thing I noticed when I squeezed some product from the tube was that it's quite a light lotion. I expected it to be quite a heavy cream considering it's for super dry skin. It takes less than 30 seconds to massage into your skin and you're left with a non greasy finish and my hands instantly feel softer at this stage. The bit between my thumb and first finger has been getting especially dry and this just softens that up immediately. If you put this product on before bed, you will wake up with hands that are in much better condition. It really does feel like it repairs and moisturises the skin. I would go as far as saying it's the best hand cream I've ever tried! Oh and before I forget, I love the scent of this. It's just a gentle, fresh laundry sort of smell. Beautiful.
The other day my hands were exceptionally dry and sore after doing some tidying up and ripping up a lot of Birchboxes and the like for the recycling. Putting this on before bed meant my hands were restored for the next day and you would have never known what state they were in the night before! Just don't look at the chipped nail polish ;)
This is such a good price at £4.50 as it's cheaper than something like a Soap & Glory hand cream. I definitely recommend trying this product if you are suffering with dry hands too.
Have you tried this product or do you have any other La Roche-Posay recommendations?
