What else have I been buying this weekend?

Following on from my Topshop makeup haul, I thought I'd show you what else I bought this weekend.
Boots

Montagne Jeunesse Mud Pac, L'Oreal Color Riche nail polishes in French Riviera and Perle De Jade, Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Face Spa

From Boots I bought these L'Oreal Color Riche nail polishes. I think they are new or have been repackaged as I don't think I've seen them before. They are £4.99 each and had loads of nice colours. L'Oreal products are buy one get one half price in Boots at the moment so I ended up choosing two. I had really wanted to try the new BB Cream but there were no testers :(

L'Oreal Color Riche nail polishes in French Riviera and Perle De Jade

I think these pastel colours are great for the spring. Perle De Jade is my favourite but I also really like French Riviera as it's not just a flat pastel blue, it also has some mid-blue shimmer running through it. It's quite hard to capture this on camera though.

My attempt at trying to show the shimmer in French Riviera on the left!

I also picked up a few Montagne Jeunesse masks as I love using these once a week when I remember! I used the Dead Sea Face Spa one tonight and it's made my face feel so clean and refreshed! It's a cloth mask which feels like it tingles on the skin. According to the packet this one is new so I'm glad I spotted this one as I love it.

River Island

I fancied buying a new bag for work so I've spent the last few weeks looking round to see what the shops had to offer. This was my favourite and it was only £40 which is great. It's a great size as it will fit in the many tupperware boxes that I take into work! I'm hoping it will fit my gym kit in too but I reckon it might be slightly too small for that but it's worth a try.

The purse I've been using for the last year is looking a bit old now plus I tend to drop coins out of it which is annoying so I treat myself to this lovely purse. It was only £17.00 and I love the colours especially the rose gold metallic parts. I also love the fact that everything is concealed within the zip section so hopefully I won't be dropping any more money!

Topshop Makeup Haul

Good afternoon :)

I popped to my local Superdrug yesterday in the hope of getting one of the new Sleek Blush By 3 palettes but unfortunately the one I wanted wasn't in stock. They had all of the palettes except Lace so I left Superdrug empty handed. I certainly made up for this in Topshop though...

Topshop have some really good makeup in at the moment. I wanted everything! I managed to limit myself to 6 items setting me back £39.50, slightly (maybe a lot!) more than I intended to spend on makeup yesterday but never mind, I got some great things :)

I bought three nail polishes even though I really don't need any more, I must have almost 100 now! There were so many cute polishes I did well just choosing three really hehe. These are the first Topshop nail polishes I've tried and I'm really impressed. They are fast drying and are good quality.

Topshop Nail Polishes in Flamingo Coral, Hypnotic and Adrenalin

I picked up Flamingo Coral and Adrenalin in the regular Topshop makeup packaging plus Hypnotic from the Sisters of the New Moon Collection. This bottle was the most expensive at £6.50 but I really like the design on the lid and the polish itself is really unusual. It has a silver base to it with very tiny shimmery silver particles and it has tints of green or purple depending on the light. It's really pretty.

Flamingo Coral was the cheapest polish at £5 and it's a lovely peachy coral colour - perfect for the spring/summer.

Adrenalin is a gorgeous glitter polish containing small and large pieces of multi coloured glitter in a sheer pale pink base colour. This polish was £6.

Next I chose a cream blush in the shade Flush - a lovely pinky coral colour. This was £6 which I think is a great price for a cream blush. The texture of this product is really nice as it's so silky and blends really easily. This product also has great colour payoff.

I already own the Head Over Heels cream blush so thought I'd show a comparison as they are quite similar. As you can see Flush is more pinky coral but Head Over Heels is more on the orange end of coral. They are both beautiful shades though, I'm glad I have them both.

Finally I chose a few lipsticks. I went for a lovely mid pink shade called Innocent and a coral shade called Ohh La La.

These were £8 and are a velvet finish moisturising lipstick. I really like these lipsticks as they are both great colours and they aren't drying on the lips.

Topshop Lipstick in Ohh La La and Innocent

I'd say Innocent is more pigmented than Ohh La La but I like that as Ohh La La is a bright colour which I'm not used to wearing so it's good that you can apply it quite sheerly but build it up for a more intense colour as well.

I think the nail polish in Flamingo Coral, Flush blush and Ohh La La lipstick will be a great combo for the summer so I'm looking forward to trying them all together.

Have you tried Topshop makeup? What are your favourite items?

Chocolate and Shoes

This is my last post for today. I made some other purchases so thought I'd put these together in one post.

First up, a new range from The Body Shop - the Chocomania range. I had a sniff of the Body Butter last month before it was available to buy and thought it smelled amazing!

I found this lovely gift set for £12 which I think is great to try out the range without spending a lot on the full sizes. It's a perfect gift for Valentines Day too. The tin is cute, it looks like a box of chocolates. Mmm chocolate without the calories! Lets forget about the M&S macaroons I've bought for later... ;)

The set includes:
  • Chocomania Body Butter 50ml
  • Chocomania Body Scrub 50ml
  • Chocomania Lip Butter 10ml
  • Chocomania Shower Cream 60ml

I got an email about a deal The Body Shop have on their website until 20 February 2012. If you're planning on spending quite a bit there it's worth knowing that you can use the code FABULOUS to get £10 off £30, £15 off £40 or £25 off £50. I was so tempted to make a £50 order last night but I stopped myself as all I really wanted was the chocolate stuff!

I also bought a few pairs of shoes from New Look for when the weather gets a bit nicer.

These tomato red ballet pumps were only £12.99 and I really like them as they are nice and flexible. I hate it when the backs of pumps are really stiff as they cut into my heels :( These seem nice and comfy though.

I also bought these black faux suede slipper style shoes. I think I will wear these for work as they are quite smart. These were £17.99 which is also a great price.

What having you been buying lately? Feel free to send links to your hauls :)

Accessorize Makeup Buys

Hope you are all having a great weekend so far :)

I picked up some more Accessorize goodies today so thought I'd show you what I bought. Superdrug always seem to have a deal on Accessorize makeup where you get a freebie so watch out for those :)

The deal on at the moment is buy any Accessorize Makeup product and receive an Accessorize Diamond Sparkle Lipgloss free. I love their nail polishes so this time I went for one of their Metalized One Coat polishes in the shade Greige.

I love this colour and it really does only need one coat! It's a gorgeous metallic grey-beige (hence the name!). I don't have a colour like it in my collection so I'm pleased I chose this one.

The lipgloss shade I chose is Temptation. It's really sparkly so this one is best for night time but it will make you feel very glam on a night out. This is a rose pink shade with tons of sparkle thoughout the whole tube! It's very glossy on the lips and not sticky at all. It smells really sweet like fudge too!

I think this lipgloss is worth £4.00 so it's a great price and I'd be happy to buy another one of their glosses for that price.

Have you tried Accessorize makeup? What are your favourites? Can anyone recommend any of the nail polish shades?

My MUA Love Hearts Collection Purchases

Hey beauty lovers :)

You've probably read a million blog posts on these products already but I thought I would show you which of the products I chose to purchase.

I was mainly looking forward to the lip balms as I loved the cute pots. As you can see I bought two of these. I went for the shades Sweet Kiss and Great Lips. Sweet Kiss is a peachy pink colour and Great Lips is a nude colour.

These lip balms really remind me of the Sleek Pout Polishes which I love. I would say these are just as good as you get the same amount of product (10g), they have a similar vanilla scent and are both glossy but non sticky. I would say the colour payoff is about the same too, they both give a lovely wash of colour on the lips. The best part is that these MUA Lip Balms are less than half the price at only £2. I think I will end up buying the other 3 shades!

Sweet Kiss / Great Lips

Here is a comparison of the two MUA Lip Balms I purchased plus the Sleek Pout Polishes I own:

Top: MUA Lip Balms in Sweet Kiss and Great Lips / Bottom: Sleek Pout Polishes in Peach Perfection, Frosting and Raspberry Rhapsody

I love how the MUA Sweet Kiss Lip Balm is like a mixture of Sleek Pout Polish in Frosting and Peach Perfection!

I think I own nearly 80 nail polishes so I decided to just pick up one of the Love Hearts nail polishes for now. I went for the shade U Rok which is a pretty lavender colour. It reminds me of the Gosh Lavender Love polish, not that I own it but I did lust after it for a while!

It looks fully opaque in two coats as shown here:

As far as I can gather from Twitter, it's not available in all Superdrug stores yet but I'm sure it will be available soon! It's also available on the MUA website here

What do you think of this collection? Have you bought anything yet?
